    We are writing to you with the latest news regarding Punta Perla and apologise that this has been some time in coming.

    First off, regarding the communication that you received in February from Las Americas Title Services (LAT) they will be sending a letter to you next week with options and an explanation of how to proceed with them.

    In essence LAT has, as you know, irrevocable instructions to go ahead with the sale of the land placed in guarantee however first they need to know which clients wish to be part of the sale and which clients wish to stay with the project.

    Those clients joining the sale of the land held in guarantee will no longer have the rights conveyed to them with their reservation, whereas those clients who opt to stay with the project will retain the same rights for the project as when their reservation was first made.

    One hundred affected by an alleged real estate scam perpetrated on the Costa del Sol, Dominican Republic and Morocco has challenged the instructor of the cause, José Emilio Ruz Coronado, owner of the magistrate court number 16 of Madrid, because his brother Ignacio Coronado Ruz, corporately linked to the principal involved in the alleged fraud, Ricardo Miranda Miret.

    A YOXALL businessman has been ordered to appear before courts in Spain over an alleged multi-million pound overseas property scam.

    A subpoena has been served for Colin Thomas, of Town Hill, to appear in Madrid at 10am on Monday, June 4 as part of a class action lawsuit against Spanish developer Ricardo Miranda Miret.

    The criminal claim for fraud and misappropriation of funds was lodged last year in an effort to recover money on behalf of dozens of Ocean View Properties (OVP) victims.

    The prosecuting lawyer is seeking more than £6.5 million in damages for 70 claimants.

    The firm took deposits worth around £80,000 each from British investors, but much of the cash disappeared as the homes failed to materialise, it is alleged.

    The accused of defrauding about 100 Irish families says he had no relationship with clients
